Bassett Furniture Dining Room Refresh

I’ve always wanted quality dining room furniture. So many special memories are made in a dining room. Birthdays, holidays, family meals… all of these things happen around a dining table. Now that I’ve updated my home with beautiful, timeless pieces from Bassett Furniture, its like a dream come true. I know that my family will share such special moments in this space and having the peace of mind that this furniture will last makes me so happy.

Bassett has been making quality furniture for over 100 years and you can really tell that they’ve mastered their craft. Each piece is made with great care and it shows! When I went to the store in Estero, FL I was blown away by how beautiful the showroom was. I went in looking for dining room pieces, and left dreaming of redoing my whole house!

I also love that each piece can be made into a custom design. I was able to choose the wood finish on my table and chairs, as well as the fabric for my upholstery. As someone who loves all things design, playing around with different stain finishes and textiles until I found my perfect combo was a dream come true! Shopping for furniture at Bassett is a truly unique shopping experience that I really enjoyed.

Let’s talk about what I got! First up, the table. I chose the Benchmade Rectangular Dining Table in Nubuck Oak. This is my dream table!!! When I say this is a solid piece of furniture, you better believe I mean it. Dan and I had to move it to install the chandelier, and wow, is it heavy!! I LOVE that this is made of oak, which is a hard wood and will stand up to my kids being kids. ;) It is stained by hand and the variations in the strips of wood are so stunning. I also love how the legs are attached and you can see them from the tabletop. It’s such a simple design touch that really makes a big statement. Everyone who has come to our home since we got this furniture comments on how beautiful our table is. I have to strongly agree.

Next up, these chairs!! I chose the Bailey Open Back Side Chair. I chose Aged Stone Oak for my legs with the woven geometric black fabric. These are the most comfortable dining chairs I’ve ever sat in. Like, ever. On top of that, they are so beautiful! I love that I got to choose my fabric and wood stain and make these my own. The subtle pattern in this black fabric gives it that special something that really makes these unique. Comfortable, beautiful, custom. What more can you ask for?

Let’s talk about this chandelier. I chose the Derince Chandelier. I knew this baby was large, but when we installed it, I was blown away by what a statement it makes! It is modern and traditional at the same time and I just LOVE it. It adds so much interest to the space and really pulled the room together. I think it could work in so many different style homes and spaces as well. It’s a really great piece.

Last, but certainly not least, is the rug. I chose the Florentine Rug in Sand. This rug is so soft that I walk through this room even if it’s out of my way just so I can walk on it. I love the subtle design too. It is just such a beautiful, neutral option that would seriously work in any room.
