DIY Woven Lamp
Woven lamps and vases are having a moment and I’m all about it! I’m not all about the price tag for some of them though. Yikes. BUT- I figured out an easy and cheap way to make one yourself! Here’s what you need:
lamp ( this is the exact lamp I used)
First up, lets take a look at this pretty Serena and Lily lamp that I won’t buy because I enjoy the thrill of a deal. ;) It’s $448. Yikes.
So that was my inspo for this little project. Here we go!
First you need to cut the basket apart along the “woven rope” so you have your material for the lamp.
Once you’ve taken off as much as you think you’ll need to cover your lamp, start at the top and begin to glue the basket rope down onto the lamp in a spiral pattern.
Continue to glue until you've covered the lamp. Be sure to push the rope tightly together so you don’t see any “lamp” showing through. Secure the end with hot glue and that’s it! You’re done!
Not too shabby for things I had around the house. This project was “free” for me since I had everything I needed at home, but even to buy the materials you can complete this project for around $30 or so.
